Ug, dA's size limits on files for film are RIDICULOUS! I had to really botch the quality of this to get it to an uploadable size here. I'll post a link to the non nasty youtube version later. (never thought I'd say THAT)
Anyways this is a quicky tutorial on the Copic Airbrush system and most of the time is spent in a struggle with my frisket film HAHA! Laugh at me all you want! It's a really basic thing, but seeing the thing in action is kinda cool if you've never seen it before.
Okay techy shit:
I got the Copic ABS-1 which comes with one small can of air and an adaptor to work with a compressor. If you don't have a compressor I think ABS-2 is the one that has the other cans of air. Read up about compressors VS air cans here: [link]
For the sake of this only being a test tutorial I used Regular printer paper here, and I only left the frisket film on for a short time while I set up the tutorial but it stuck already! that stuff can only be on a short time. That's why it tore in the tutorial, HAHA! Lesson Learned! Frisket film is cool but a little tricky, you could also use liquid frisket (learn about that here: [link] )
The compressor is set to 50PSI The markers are Copic Sketch
@06:37i have been interested in airbrushing for a while and have been practising with one at work. I find that the risk of splatter is the one part that really bothers me with the conventional airbrushing methods. But with this it seems that the pen nib creates a filter for the ink flow so you get an even mist going. I'm really interested in trying this method now. Thanks for the video tutorial
