Oh yes, though I tend not to even start with reading if it's too long.

I said "Yes the artists words are important to the imagery". And I don't like to be the tit who asked the dumb question for the 10th time. I always explain my materials and methods for horror photos, yet I still have people leaving OMG is it real??!!!111 comments.

meh, when I feel like it and/or remember to look at it.

I'm gonna be honest, it gets boring and redundant, so sometimes I skip it, unless I feel like I need a description to explain the artwork more to me.

I like the info contained in comments, but song lyrics and poetry that doesn't go with the image is not worth the time to post or read.

(I still read them though... ;) )

sometimes if the artists comments are really really long ill skim through but generally i do read them. i cant stand when artists put "..." i feel like if the artist has nothing to say about their own work, then why should i? if the artist wants the viewer to interpret the image themselves then they should say so. sometimes they do and i can respect that, but the whole "..." thing... irritating XD

I always read them...sometimes I look at the piece briefly and then read and then I look at the image...I find it holds more meaning when you can understand what the artist is trying to portray...I tend to not be as interested if it doesn't have a comment, I like to know the thought process

sometimes the piece speaks for itself though :)

ya, i dont usually concern with what the artist says about the work itself ( i like to interpret myself) but i like to know what mediums were used, cameras and stuff. Just as a bit more to look at and reason to lean in on a full view and stuff :3
