I recommend in order...like first to draw you need a paper and pencils... So then go into paper types and colored pencils...

Then inking may go next...so discussion about inks...

So on and so forth.

Except all art doesn't start that way. Example, I oil paint, and i never do an under drawing, so for me the start is paint. i have been starting from Basics, and I'll move up from there :D

I've already posted one for animation, oil paint, and markers :) I've got some examples of ink drying away to!
I've got the labels so that drawing is a category, and clicking that label will bring up all posts about drawing etc.

It is true that all art doesn't start that way but that's what I have meant. Start with the basics and go in that order as if you were doing it as one even though it wouldn't be as one. Before you can paint a masterpiece, most of the time you need to need to take some time to draw it or picture it on your head as vividly as possible but you have to know that information prior. More like a sense of simple to complex materials.

Yup, thats what I was doing, but I'm mostly looking for what mediums people would like me to explore first, and why.

I think any of them would be good and all have benefits but I think Studio Safety should be one of the firsts. Also considering I haven't seen much of that but it is important.

I really have seen a lack of concern of being careful with a few supplies...

Like Cadmium Yellow...dangerous in Cali. :giggle: (A friend of mine showed the warning to me and now I laugh a bit every time I find it because of that event. ;p)

Cadmium ya, pretty bad for ya.
I mentioned that in my Oil painting one . that's why i like peeling palettes. when the paints dry you peel it off and throw it away, so you don't end up with cadmium in the water supply since city filtration systems don't filter small enough to get cadmium particles.
But if oyu are good with your supplies, and you use a barrier cream, and you dont fondle paint its not as bad as people think ROFL :D

I voted for animation! XD!

go TOON BOOM all the way (more Toon Boom tutorials...like using the camera system and such)

or

the process of creating an animation...like have an idea first, do some thumbnail sketches, line test, CG, final production...something like that...
